Since their beginnings in Cambridgeshire in 2009, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have grown from an obscure underground act into one of modern rock’s most distinctive cult bands. Mixing psychedelic rock, doom influences, and dark, cinematic melodies, the band has gathered an international following. At the helm is Kevin Starrs, whose creative vision and unmistakable aesthetic have shaped the band's identity within the contemporary heavy rock scene.

Fans of Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats have much to look forward to as the band now prepares to present new material and return to their intense live performances. On September 18, 2026, they will release their seventh studio album, “Shapes of Midnight”. The album was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, a name synonymous with pivotal moments in rock history. With this record, Uncle Acid returns to a heavier, more guitar-driven sound while exploring the evocative and cinematic qualities that define their music. The band continues to adhere to their unique style, strongly influenced by classic horror film atmospheres and vintage rock traditions.
