Kungsbacka City Festival 2026: Major Artists and Broad Cultural Program Confirmed
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, central Kungsbacka will once again be transformed into a vibrant meeting place for music lovers, families, and culture enthusiasts. The Kungsbacka City Festival returns with a comprehensive program of live acts, inviting both residents and visitors to enjoy the festive community atmosphere in the heart of the city.
From Large Stages to Family-Friendly Activities
The festival is expanding both in scale and diversity for 2026 and will present some of its biggest artists to date. Three outdoor arenas will form the festival's pulse: Badhusparken, Kungsbacka Square, and Kulturhuset Fyren. Here, visitors can expect a mix of concerts, author visits, and interactive activities aimed at guests of all ages.
On Kungsbacka Square, Genom Natten, Little Sis Nora, and the beloved dance pop profile E-Type will headline. These artists are expected to draw large crowds and take the stage as the festival’s main attractions.
In Badhusparken, singer-songwriter Pernilla Andersson enriches the program with her acclaimed Swedish pop – providing the line-up with both breadth and variety in the park’s lush surroundings.
Kulturhuset Fyren will focus on literature and children's culture. Here, younger visitors will meet Ylva Hällen, known from several of SVT's children's programs, who will visit the author stage and offer storytelling and inspiration in a safe indoor environment.
Among this year's most sought-after features is Tomas Andersson Wij, whose concert at Kungsbacka church sold out shortly after tickets were released. His participation reinforces the festival’s status as a public magnet even beyond the classic outdoor stages and underscores the event’s broad appeal.
In addition to the main acts, the city center will bustle with daytime and evening programs for all age groups and interests. Organizers emphasize that the 2026 city festival will be broader and more inclusive than ever, with room for everyone – whether the main interest is music, culture, or simply enjoying the sense of community along Kungsbacka’s streets.
The Kungsbacka City Festival remains a symbol of local engagement, celebration, and creativity. With its expanded lineup and renewed focus on inclusion, the 2026 festival is set to become one of the city’s major highlights – and an occasion where community and music fill the air.
