Occrasy prepares for autumn 2026: Borlänge's rock heroes embark on major Swedish tour
Occrasy, a five-piece band from Borlänge, has quickly established itself as one of Sweden's most captivating and contemporary live acts. Often described as the "saviors of Swedish rock," the group has crafted its own identity with dirty guitar rock, uncompromisingly raw performances, and a strong sense of camaraderie that permeates every note. The rapid journey from rehearsing Mando Diao covers in a basement to national spotlights and international gigs attests to a genuine dedication to the core of rock: energy, authenticity, and presence.
This momentum culminated in May 2026 with the eagerly awaited debut album Good To Go. The album, released on May 15, 2026, contains eleven tracks and was recorded live on an analog eight-track tape – a deliberate choice to capture the band's direct and unfiltered sound. The result is an album charged with intensity, presence, and raw emotion. Critical acclaim has been swift: both Per Sinding-Larsen and Jan Gradvall at Dagens industri have given the album 4 out of 5. Sinding-Larsen even called 'Good To Go' one of the year's major Swedish rock releases, and Fredrik Strage praised Occrasy as "the best garage racket from Borlänge since Mando Diao – maybe even since Sator."
The chemistry of live performances and the band's influences
Occrasy's strength lies in their lively band chemistry and dynamic interplay, something that clearly sets them apart on today’s rock scene. Musically, they draw inspiration from The Beatles, The Hellacopters, Primal Scream as well as early The Strokes, but channel everything through their own raw and confident delivery. Their live shows are often described as loud, energetic and euphorically imperfect — where the pulse between members creates a contagious intensity on stage.
After acclaimed performances at Sweden Rock and a successful tour in Germany, Occrasy are now focusing entirely on the Swedish audience. This autumn, they head out on an extensive Swedish tour and promise an uncompromising, explosive rock experience at every venue. The band emphasizes that the mission remains the same: five friends, amps to the max, and an unwavering belief that rock'n'roll should be felt just as much as it is heard.
