Myra Granberg and Timbuktu Release Reflective Single “Har du också känt den” Ahead of Upcoming Album
Today sees the release of “Har du också känt den”, a powerful new collaboration between Swedish pop artist Myra Granberg and influential rapper and songwriter Jason “Timbuktu” Diakité. The single is the latest addition ahead of Granberg’s eagerly anticipated third album, Fult att blunda, which is set to be released on October 16, 2026.
At its core, “Har du också känt den” is a sincere and empathetic dialogue about what it feels like to get through life’s tougher moments. Granberg’s characteristically honest pop melodies meet Timbuktu’s distinctive storytelling, creating a track that is both intimate and hopeful. The collaboration builds bridges between two generations in Swedish music and encourages listeners to reflect on their own experiences of loneliness, while also offering comfort and a sense of belonging in the knowledge that these feelings are universal and temporary.
Myra Granberg has accumulated over 270 million streams on Spotify and is celebrated for her vocal expressiveness as well as her honest songwriting and production. With hits like “Lose my mind”, “HKF (Håll käften och försvinn)” and “Tills mitt hjärta går under”, she has established herself with songs that touch on both personal and societal themes. Ahead of the new album, Granberg has released a series of singles, including the viral “Nån annan tar smällen” as well as “Kramar du mig hårdare” and “Vad vare du sa”, which showcase her continued exploration of current issues and emotional honesty.
According to Granberg herself, “Har du också känt den” began as an expression of resignation in the studio during the sunny days of last summer. Despite the surrounding joy, she personally felt a strong melancholy. However, the finished song transforms that isolation into a place for shared comfort, touching everyone who has ever experienced similar feelings. Granberg describes the collaboration as empowering: “To collaborate with Timbuktu and together convey that you are not alone in feeling lonely – that is incredibly powerful for me.”
Since his debut in 1996, Timbuktu has cemented his role as one of Sweden’s most influential artists. With over ten albums, eight Grammis and four P3 Guld awards to his name, his career extends far beyond music and also includes success as an author, actor, and performing artist. His autobiographical project “En droppe midnatt” has been widely acclaimed and strengthened his status as a versatile storyteller. Timbuktu’s latest album, har berg har vatten, was released in 2025 and showcases continued artistic development.
Looking ahead, Timbuktu is set to perform at Malmö Arena on November 21, 2026 – a highly anticipated return to southern Sweden. At the same time, Granberg’s Fult att blunda promises continued honesty and reflection on contemporary issues, where even the harder questions find a place in pop music. With “Har du också känt den”, both artists channel their personalities into a work that highlights music as a force for community, where vulnerability and shared experience transform loneliness into hope.
