Jake Bugg Releases New Single ‘Never Can Tell’ – Returns to Stockholm in 2027
Jake Bugg, British singer-songwriter, today, September 2, 2026, releases his new single ‘Never Can Tell’. The song is the first taste from his forthcoming seventh album ‘Alamo’, which will be released on November 13, 2026. In connection with the new album, Bugg also makes a long-awaited return to Sweden. On Friday, April 23, 2027, he will give a solo acoustic concert at Debaser Strand in Stockholm, offering the audience an intimate and personal experience of Bugg’s cross-genre music.
The album ‘Alamo’ is a collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning songwriters Jimmy Hogarth and Steve McEwan. The record is now introduced with the single ‘Never Can Tell’, released today, and marks a return to the Americana and country-influenced songwriting style that characterized Bugg’s early work. Thematically, the album explores topics such as loneliness, relationships, trust, and the formative youth years that have shaped Bugg’s artistry.
Jake Bugg’s music is characterized by a blend of indie folk, blues rock, and Americana, and he easily avoids simple categorization to create a uniquely personal expression. His lyrical depth and melody have often been compared to legends such as The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix. Bugg broke through as a teenager when he made a splash on the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival.
