Annika Norlin to Release Double Single and Complete Book of Collected Song Lyrics 2005–2026

Annika Norlin, one of Sweden’s leading voices in alternative pop and recognized for her personal lyrics, is announcing a major double release on August 28, 2026. She will release the double single “En ganska bra fest” and “Ingen ny tanke tänks” at the same time as the book Jag ville ju komma så nära – Låttexter 2005–2026. The book compiles all Norlin's song lyrics from her varied career, and the release offers a unique opportunity to both discover Norlin's development as a lyricist and experience new artistic material.

The new songs are being released by Första Tiden, the newly started label Norlin runs together with Jonas Teglund. The recording took place at the renowned Atlantis studio during the spring of 2026. The double single has a clear theme: “En ganska bra fest” depicts a Saturday party in real time and sensitively captures the emotional breadth of everyday gatherings. “Ingen ny tanke tänks” is its counterpoint – a Sunday song focused on introspection, inspired by the first spring light but equally relevant for autumn reflection. The recordings feature Iiris Viljanen (piano), Nisse Törnqvist (drums), and Jonas Teglund as producer, bassist, and multi-instrumentalist.

The song lyric book, published by Weyler förlag, collects Norlin's lyrics from her entire musical activity, including Säkert! and Hello Saferide. In addition to the collected lyrics, the volume also contains a foreword in which Norlin reflects on the cultural value of songwriting and music, giving readers insight into her passion and working process. For both loyal listeners and new acquaintances, the book serves as both an archive and source of inspiration for Norlin’s creative universe.

This double release marks a continuing strong period for Annika Norlin, whose album En tid att riva sönder (2024) – in collaboration with Jonas Teglund – was praised for its experimental expression and lyrical sharpness. She has also established herself as an author, notably with the novel Stacken from 2023, which has been recognized internationally and translated into over twenty languages.

With the new double single and the extensive song lyric book, Annika Norlin further strengthens her position within Swedish music and literature. From August 28, 2026, listeners and readers will be able to delve into her artistry in both sound and text, in a collective tribute to her creative journey.
