Adéla's 'PRIMA': Slovakia's New Pop Hope Debuts with Multifaceted Confidence

4. september 2026

The Slovak pop artist Adéla has released her long-awaited debut album, 'PRIMA', marking a decisive milestone in her rapidly growing career. The 22-year-old Adéla Jergova presents eleven tracks where powerful pop production meets emotional openness and is at the same time permeated by clear self-assurance. The album is produced by award-winning songwriters Dylan Brady and Blake Slatkin, who have helped shape Adéla's dynamic soundscape.

A Ballet-Influenced Path to the Pop Scene

Adéla's musical identity is rooted in her unique life journey. She began a professional career as a ballet dancer at just eleven years old, and at fourteen she moved abroad to pursue dance. Her artistic discipline and stage presence were thus honed early. By immersing herself in American pop culture, including watching cartoons on TV, she learned English and has trained singing with the same coach as Olivia Rodrigo. In 2020, she moved to Los Angeles to take part in the Dream Academy program and compete for a place in the international pop group KATSEYE—a journey also documented in the Netflix series "Pop Star Academy." It is this combination of technical precision and pop sensibility that gives 'PRIMA' both accuracy and personality.

The album title 'PRIMA' intentionally carries a double meaning: it marks both the starting shot of Adéla's solo career and alludes to the ballet's prima ballerina—a role she aims to redefine within pop. The album's themes range from relationships, sexuality, success, and identity to family dynamics, together creating a generous portrait of a young adulthood full of contradictions and dreams.

Among the album's standout tracks is 'Nicole Kidman', which serves as a hub in the story and is accompanied by a visually striking music video. The complete tracklist is as follows:

  • KGB
  • Nicole Kidman
  • I’m The Man
  • Boys
  • Red Bottoms
  • Hitachi
  • Fantasize
  • Starving Artist
  • Marijuana
  • Therapy
  • Ain’t In LA

Her single 'Ain’t In LA' has attracted international attention and quickly gone viral, making it onto the Billboard Hot 100. The song's success has also been reflected on European radio and charts, especially in Finland, further cementing Adéla's global breakthrough.

Adéla's career gained further momentum with her debut single 'HOMEWRECKED' in 2024, which was followed by the critically acclaimed EP 'The Provocateur'. Her sound and expression are characterized by a direct, confident, and at times provocative approach, aiming to both entertain and challenge the boundaries of what is possible within pop music.

Expectations are high ahead of Adéla's upcoming live performances. Next week, she kicks off her first sold-out North American tour as a headliner, followed by an equally sold-out European tour focused on the Nordics at the start of 2027. These milestones mark her rapid rise and show how her music has already taken root far beyond Slovakia’s borders.

With 'PRIMA', Adéla establishes herself not only as a new name on the international pop scene—she also demonstrates her ambition to redefine what a young, versatile, and hungry artist can achieve. Her dance background, international experiences, and strong vision converge in an album that is as emotionally rich as it is sonically ambitious, cementing her place among pop’s most exciting new stars.
