Velvet Moon releases today "Lost in Society", a single from their sixth studio album, The Reckoning, which will be released this spring on Argle Bargle Studios.

The song began to take shape on an unusually long bench in a well-frequented shopping mall in Malmö. There, people with various life stories gathered, many of them on the fringes of society. The band was moved by how easily people could become invisible and their needs overlooked as daily life continued around them.

With their own experiences of mental illness close at hand, the trio developed these observations into a song about isolation, vulnerability, and the longing to belong. They describe their music as intimate, melancholic, and atmospheric alternative pop, with an organic sound that contains both darkness and hope.

The Swedish group consists of singer and poet Sandra Bjurman, as well as composers and producers Stefan Örn and Johan Glössner. With five albums, they have accumulated over 15 million streams and have received attention from CLASH, METAL Magazine, and NPR Music.

Their previous single, "This Time", reached number 250 on the German Mainstream Radio chart.
