We are continuously developing Popzine and testing new features to make the site better, easier, and more fun to use. Now, we have focused particularly on accessibility – and this is just the beginning of the journey.
One of the first new features is the voice reading of our articles. Immediately after the tags in an article, you will now find a play button. If you press it, you can have the article text read aloud with the help of text-to-speech, TTS.
This is a first step in our work to make Popzine more accessible for more people. We will continue to develop the function and look at further improvements going forward, including better support for keyboard navigation and other solutions that can make the site easier to use in a way that suits you.
What would you like to see next on Popzine?
We have already received several requests from you, our readers, about features you would like to see on the site – and we would love to hear even more.
One suggestion is the possibility to choose yourself which genres and types of content you want to see. Maybe you mostly listen to rock and metal and want to filter out content that isn't relevant to you. Or the other way around. The idea is that Popzine could in the future become more personally tailored to what you are interested in.
Another idea concerns our concerts. We regularly review live performances, but why should only we give ratings? We are therefore looking into the possibility to allow readers who have attended the concert themselves to give their own rating and thereby provide a broader view of the experience.
We have also received requests for push notifications, so you could for example get a notification when a news item, interview, review, or something else you've chosen to follow is published.
And of course, there are many more possibilities.
