Ocean Grove is bringing their Experience the Oddworld – UK x EU Tour to BETA in Copenhagen on March 13, 2027. Joining them on stage are the American band UnityTX and Australian Diamond Construct – three different perspectives on heavy music at the same concert.
Ocean Grove’s sound draws influences from nu metal, hardcore and alternative rock. The band describes their expression as “Oddworld Music,” a designation for a musical identity shaped by these overlapping styles and an unconventional creative outlook. Instead of viewing genre boundaries as rigid, the trio unites the elements into a sound that is distinctly their own.
A world created on their own terms
The group consists of vocalist Dale Tanner, bassist and vocalist Twiggy Hunter, and drummer and producer Sam Bassal. Ocean Grove has chosen a do-it-yourself approach to their recordings and produced their own catalog. This hands-on method is central to the band’s creative profile: the music and its surrounding world are presented as parts of a cohesive artistic vision, rather than as separate pieces.
The band’s latest studio album, ODDWORLD, was released in 2024. The record further develops the band’s chosen identity and is part of a catalog that, according to the provided event information, has received millions of streams, chart positions, and continued critical acclaim. Ocean Grove’s music has also attracted attention in Australia: in 2026, the group won the APRA Music Awards prize for “Most Performed Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Work” for the single “RAINDROP.”
Ocean Grove has played everywhere from underground clubs to arenas and major festivals and has toured with the likes of Limp Bizkit, August Burns Red, Northlane, and DON BROCO. The band has also toured as support for Thornhill and Poppy. These experiences place the Copenhagen gig in a touring history that spans various contexts and parts of the modern heavy music scene, while the band’s own expression remains central.
The show at BETA offers the audience the chance to hear the trio’s blend of heaviness, melody, and genre-crossing ideas live. UnityTX from the USA and Diamond Construct from Australia complement the lineup. The three acts have different national and musical backgrounds but all operate within the broader landscape of heavy music.
