Bruce Dickinson is bringing his solo band to Store VEGA in Copenhagen for a concert presented as part of PsychoGod. The program is described as a mix of new material, audience favorites, and songs from his entire solo career. The Swedish progressive metal band Evergrey will participate as special guests.

The concert marks Dickinson’s return to the live stage as a solo artist after The Mandrake Project Tour, which concluded in Brazil in September 2025 after 71 shows on three continents. In Copenhagen, his solo music takes center stage, separate from his most famous role as the singer of Iron Maiden.

A New Chapter for the Solo Band

Dickinson has recorded new material with the musicians in his current solo band: guitarists Chris Declercq and Philip Näslund, bassist Tanya O’Callaghan, keyboardist Mistheria, and drummer Dave Moreno. The promised blend of new songs and established favorites ties the concert to his latest work and the catalog he has built up over several decades.

In comments included in the event material, Dickinson emphasizes the importance of musicians playing together on real instruments. He contrasts a live band’s performance with artificial intelligence, arguing that technology can imitate but not recreate the experience of human emotion or real musicianship. He also expresses confidence in the musicians around him and describes the group as skilled.

This emphasis on performance fits well with a solo catalog that moves between different styles. Dickinson released his solo debut, Tattooed Millionaire, in 1990. In later releases, the music has ranged from hard rock to heavier and more progressive compositions. The Chemical Wedding and The Mandrake Project are among the albums in that catalog, while “Tears of the Dragon” remains one of its well-known songs.

The solo career has developed in parallel with his work in Iron Maiden and has given him more than one musical context for exploring his voice and songwriting. The concert at Store VEGA is framed by this independent catalog, and the new material links the show to recordings with his current band. Evergrey’s participation adds yet another established progressive metal band to the program.

Beyond the Stage

Dickinson’s public career stretches beyond singing and songwriting. He has also worked as a pilot, fencer, author, speaker, and brewer. These roles reflect a wide set of interests alongside recordings and touring, even as music connects his two most prominent artistic roles: frontman in Iron Maiden and solo artist with a distinct catalog.

For the audience in Copenhagen, this presented setup gathers these elements in a pure solo concert: songs from Dickinson’s own history, material recorded with today’s band, and a guest appearance by Evergrey. The performance is not described as limited to a particular period or release, but rather as a review of the breadth of his solo music and an introduction to the next chapter.
