Acid Arab will perform at Amager Bio in Copenhagen on March 20, 2027. The collective thus returns to Denmark with a live show built on the meeting between electronic production and musical traditions from North Africa, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. The French collective’s sound unites pulsating beats and acid lines with traditional vocals, percussion, and melody—music designed both for the dance floor and for more attentive listening.

Tickets go on sale Monday, November 2 at 10:00 via Ticketmaster and DTD Concerts. The concert at Amager Bio marks Acid Arab's return to Copenhagen after their performance at Store VEGA in 2024.

A Club Sound Shaped by Musical Exchange

Acid Arab emerged from club culture in Paris and for over a decade has developed a distinctive approach to electronic music. Instead of treating club production and regional music traditions as separate worlds, the collective lets them meet directly. Traditional vocal styles and percussion interact with tightly designed electronic arrangements, while persistent rhythms and acid sounds drive the music forward.

That balance is central to the group’s identity. The arrangements can be powerful and precise, but also leave room for melodies and vocal contributions to shape the mood. Trance elements are part of the musical expression, along with sounds and influences reaching beyond Western club music conventions. The result is a repertoire that draws strength from several traditions without reducing them to ornamentation: the rhythms, voices, and melodies are an integral part of the music’s structure.

According to event information, Acid Arab has played more than 600 concerts worldwide over the past decade. Among the stages and festivals in Europe are Rex Club, KOKO, Fabric, Nuits Sonores, and Fusion Festival. The collective’s Copenhagen performance at Store VEGA in 2024 provided a local example of their stage expression, where energy and precision were united with the musical detail that characterizes their productions.

A New Chapter with Resonance

The upcoming concert will be framed by the group’s album Resonance, which develops Acid Arab's core ideas—dance, trance, voices, sonic precision, and cultural exchange—into a broader and more contemporary songwriting. The development builds on a sound that has always been about connections: between electronic and acoustic elements, between club structures and traditional forms, and between musicians with different musical backgrounds.

Collaborations have over the years contributed to broadening their musical world. Among the artists associated with Acid Arab are Yasmine Hamdan, Sofiane Saidi, Wael Alkak, and Cem Yıldız. The collaborations reflect the collective’s interest in bringing distinctive voices and expressions into the music, while maintaining the rhythmic drive of electronic music at the center.

At Amager Bio, these threads come together in a live context. The combination of driving production, vocal expression, and melodic detail results in a concert characterized both by the dance floor and by the traditions shaping the sound. For the audience in Copenhagen, the performance on March 20, 2027, means Acid Arab returns to the city to present their evolving musical expression.
