The rock duo Unnamed Feeling from Björneborg has released "mellow shades of green and yellow" on streaming services. It is the title track from their debut album, which will be released by Secret Entertainment on November 13, 2026. According to the band, the song is about a constant lack of understanding and a desire to find peace in love.
The songwriting began as a joke between the members: to make a song that practically contained nothing. From the idea soon grew what they describe as a sweet and sensitive song. They had never played it together before the studio session, and the composition was only finished up to the second chorus. Everything after that was improvised.
According to the duo, the song's instrumental parts are among the easiest to play on the album. Outside the chorus, the guitar sticks to a single chord. The gentle percussion at the beginning develops into full drumming towards the end, while the bass provides most of the movement and lays the foundation for the song's groove.
The vocals were harder to record. Particularly the chorus lies high in the vocal range, but the musicians felt that a traditional rock approach to singing would not suit the character of the song.
The group was formed in 2021 and consists of Matti Meronen on vocals and guitar and Eemeli Mäntylä on vocals and drums. They describe their expression as straightforward, their live performances as explosive, and their music as a combination of raw attitude and a love of pop.
The album's theme is the world seen through a child's eyes: more vivid, brighter, warmer, and softer. The duo's first single, "negative narrative", also has a music video.
The duo has two scheduled gigs:
- November 9, 2026 — Engelen, Stockholm, Sweden.
- November 25, 2026 — Tjili Pop, Copenhagen, Denmark.
