This autumn, Swedish music lovers will have the chance to experience a unique journey through the world of symphonic rock and nostalgia as THE ORCHESTRA – comprised of former members from the legendary Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) and ELO Part II – embarks on an extensive tour across Sweden. With eight concerts throughout the country, it will be the first time in nearly twenty years that ELO’s classic repertoire is performed live in Sweden on such a broad scale, offering fans a renewed opportunity to relive the distinctive sound that has captivated listeners worldwide.

The tour kicks off on October 1, 2026 at Palladium in Malmö and concludes at the storied Cirkus in Stockholm on October 11. Along the way, the band will also visit Gothenburg, Halmstad, Örebro, Kosta, Karlstad, and Jönköping – cities ready to be enveloped by ELO’s well-known mix of Beatles-inspired pop, symphonic arrangements, and futuristic rock elements.

A Long-Awaited Comeback for British Symphonic Rock

THE ORCHESTRA’s autumn tour 2026 is more than just a series of concerts – it’s a cherished reunion for fans of British symphonic rock. The last time ELO’s classic lineup played in Sweden was during the “Time Tour” at Johanneshovs Isstadion in Stockholm in 1982, and before that on the “Out of the Blue” tour in Gothenburg in 1978. Since then, Swedish fans have been waiting for an equally extensive return; aside from occasional ELO-related band appearances, including the Sweden Rock Festival 2008, such opportunities have been rare.

Today’s THE ORCHESTRA continues the legacy from both the original ELO band and its evolution in ELO Part II, featuring seasoned musicians from albums like Eldorado, Out of the Blue, Discovery, and Xanadu. Collectively, these records have sold over 50 million copies and represent the highlights of ELO’s golden era. Audiences can expect a setlist full of timeless classics – songs that have enchanted arenas and crowds in more than fifty countries worldwide.

The schedule for the Sweden tour 2026 is:

  • October 1 – Malmö, Palladium (Limited tickets remaining)
  • October 2 – Gothenburg, Jacy'z
  • October 3 – Halmstad, Halmstads Teater
  • October 4 – Örebro, Hjalmar Bergman Teatern
  • October 8 – Kosta, Craft Arena
  • October 9 – Karlstad, Karlstad CCC
  • October 10 – Jönköping, Spira
  • October 11 – Stockholm, Cirkus

The event is organized by Holgerhund Live, whose extensive experience ensures the quality and atmosphere of the tour for both devoted ELO fans and the wider Nordic music audience. The production aims for each concert to become a memorable all-round experience, doing justice to the originals’ sound and spirit.

For press or interview inquiries, Eric Troyer, one of the key figures of the band, is available for conversations about the Sweden tour. Media coordination is managed by Rickard Werecki, who provides information about the band’s background and preparations ahead of the tour.

THE ORCHESTRA’s extensive autumn tour 2026 is expected to be one of the year’s big live events in Sweden – a tribute to classic symphonic rock, performed by the musicians who helped write its immortal history.
