In Flames and Trivium Announce Major European Tour in Spring 2027 – Stockholm Gets Exclusive Show

After their acclaimed performance at Göteborg Brinner festival, In Flames now confirm their largest European tour in years – this time together with American band Trivium. In spring 2027, these two genre giants team up on Europe's biggest stages, promising powerful concerts filled with both classics and new material. The event is already being counted as one of the great happenings in heavy metal, giving fans across Europe the chance to experience the collaboration live.

The tour will include a stop in Stockholm at Avicii Arena on Saturday, May 1, 2027. In addition to the main acts, audiences will also experience performances from Paleface Swiss and VOLA, placing a clear focus on both new and progressive forces within metal. The lineup makes the tour essential for the entire European metal scene.

A Manifestation of Modern Metal's Development

The Gothenburg-based band In Flames, formed in 1990, has built a global reputation as innovators of melodic death metal. With an unwavering focus on progress, they have sold millions of records and toured worldwide for over 30 years. Both on stage and in the studio, their influence has been central to the metal scene, recently highlighted when they headlined Göteborg Brinner.

Trivium, led by singer and guitarist Matthew K. Heafy, are regarded as pioneers of 21st-century metal. With their breakthrough album "Ascendancy," named Album of the Year by Kerrang! and selling over half a million copies worldwide, the band's energetic ascent and high placements on the Billboard 200 have established them as one of the most influential names in the metal world.

Paleface Swiss, from Zurich, represents the new wave of power with their uncompromising style and live energy. The band has made a significant impact with the album "Cursed" (2025) and the EP "The Wilted" (2026). VOLA, the Danish-Swedish progressive metal band, combines technical prowess with electronic influences – something heard clearly on the album "Friend Of A Phantom" from 2024, where In Flames' Anders Fridén features as a guest vocalist.
