Five Finger Death Punch Celebrates 20 Years with New Album "Legacy"

The year 2026 marks the twentieth anniversary of American metal giants Five Finger Death Punch, who have held a firm position at the forefront of the modern rock and metal scene since their inception. To commemorate this milestone, the band is now releasing the highly anticipated tenth studio album Legacy—a work the members themselves describe as their most complete and powerful to date. The album summarizes the group’s journey over two decades while also pointing toward the future.

Guitarist and founder Zoltan Bathory emphasizes that "Legacy" captures the essence of Five Finger Death Punch and deepens the band’s characteristic identity, while their sound continues to evolve. Bathory highlights the album’s importance: it shows that the band can develop and find new expressions without losing what has made them so recognizable. “If I could only choose one album to represent Five Finger Death Punch, it would be this one,” Bathory states.

The launch of the album begins with the singles Eye Of The Storm and De Oppresso Liber. The former has set a new standard for the band and has become their 18th number one on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, further cementing their position as one of the most successful rock acts of the past twenty years. The track Nails In The Coffin is especially noted for its thematic weight—a metaphor for overcoming doubt and adversity during the band’s career, but also a reminder of their enduring perseverance.

The new album Legacy contains ten tracks:

  • Legacy
  • De Oppresso Liber
  • Eye Of The Storm
  • Nails In The Coffin
  • In Time
  • Unscathed
  • Joke’s On Me
  • Everybody Lies
  • Shelter
  • Scapegoat

To celebrate the release, Five Finger Death Punch will kick off the first leg of their world tour in North America tomorrow, where Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire will join as guest artists. Afterwards, a larger European tour awaits, together with Lamb Of God and Bleed From Within.

The band's twentieth anniversary is also characterized by a strong focus on charity. For several years, Five Finger Death Punch has been involved in supporting American veterans, first responders, and their families. In 2026, part of the proceeds from the North American tour will go directly to American Olympic and Paralympic athletes ahead of the Los Angeles Games in 2028. Bathory has chosen to support USA Judo, while singer Ivan Moody is directing his support toward American national teams in BMX Racing and BMX Freestyle.

With "Legacy", Five Finger Death Punch solidifies its place in metal history—through both musical innovation and social commitment. As the band now celebrates its 20th anniversary, they demonstrate that their drive and identity remain unshakeable and that they continue to shape the heavy metal scene into the future.
