Alex Warren Releases Emotionally Charged Second Album WILDCHILD – A Journey Through Loss, Love, and Rebirth

After a long wait, Alex Warren has now released his second studio album WILDCHILD, a work powerfully and emotionally exploring themes such as loss, grief, hope, and personal growth. The album is a strong tribute to Warren’s father, whose passing permeates both the lyrics and the musical expression. Together with producer trio Adam Yaron, Cal Shapiro, and Mags Duval, Warren has created an album that puts music at the center as a source of healing and transformation.

WILDCHILD consists of 13 tracks, of which the singles FEVER DREAM, FINE PLACE TO DIE, PASSENGER, and most recently RESCUER, were released in advance – and attracted great attention even before the full album was out. Notably, "FEVER DREAM" has quickly surpassed half a billion streams internationally and made it among the top four most played songs on Finland’s radio charts, now nearing gold status. Among the highlights is the song "EMERALD EYES", a disco-tinged love song where legendary Nile Rodgers contributes a characteristic funk riff. Here, a deeply personal touch is present in the form of a voicemail from Warren’s late father, asking: “Are you having fun, Alex?” – a moment that brings the album’s themes of family bonds and loss into focus. The ending is further elevated by an emotional guitar solo by John Mayer, personally chosen to honor Warren’s father, who was a big Mayer fan.

Memories and parental influence characterize all of WILDCHILD, where Warren shares his upbringing and his path toward reconciliation after the passing of his parents.
