It took only seconds for Battle Beast to prove they were there to dominate the main stage at Skogsröjet. The Finnish power metal giants literally kicked their way onto the stage, delivering full throttle from the very first note.

Battle Beast is entering a new era. After long-standing frontwoman Noora Louhimo left the band, Brazilian Marina La Torraca has taken over the microphone. For her, the gig was even more special. Between songs, she shared that it was her very first visit to Sweden, something that was met with warm applause from the audience.

Right from the start, it was clear that Battle Beast had put extra effort into their stage show. They were the first band of the day to use the large LED screen behind the stage, where striking visual effects enhanced the music and gave the concert a much more extensive production than previous performances earlier in the day.

If previous bands had warmed up the crowd, it was Battle Beast who truly made the festival grounds come alive. In front of the stage, it quickly became a sea of headbanging visitors, hands in the air, and people singing along. The energy from the stage was immediately contagious, and the audience responded with the same intensity in return.

The connection between the band and the audience was consistently strong. When Marina La Torraca shouted "Put your hands up!" there was not a second of hesitation. Hundreds of hands shot into the air at once, and it was clear that Battle Beast had the crowd exactly where they wanted them.

The evening's setlist offered a good mix of new tracks and established favorites. The audience got to hear, among others, Straight to the Heart, Eye of the Storm, King for a Day, and the mighty closer Wings of Light. The combination of melodic choruses and the band's intense stage presence ensured that the pace never dropped during the set.

Musically, the band delivered exactly what the fans came for. The heavy riffs, infectious choruses, and powerful rhythm section were complemented by Marina La Torraca's impressive voice, which felt both commanding and energetic in her role as Battle Beast's new frontwoman. Stepping in after such a popular singer as Noora Louhimo is no easy task, but Marina showed she has both the voice and the charisma to lead the band forward.

As the last note faded, it was hard not to feel that Battle Beast had given Skogsröjet the energy boost the festival needed. This was the performance that truly woke the crowd to life.
